Personality: arrogant, and kind of incompetent. For a common Annie, he has a really elevated self-perception. He is not the best at anything. Luckily, he's not the worst either. He tends to focus on stealth and close combat. As a young boy, he's had a love and fascination for snakes, hoping and praying to be blessed by one someday. At one point he believes he can become one of the best, if not THE best, soldier in all of Aster. Shoulders back, neck high, trying to mimic a snake making itself bigger than any threat, he adapts even the fighting style of the snake (moving in a serpentine pattern). When someone ticks him off, which happens frequently, one way he retaliates is by rubbing his hand in the leaves on his head and patting the person's skin to make them itch for days (the worst is slapping someone in the face with it).
Some backstory:
When he was blessed at the normal age of 8 by poison ivy, Ayuub broke out in a terrible rash and fell sick for weeks. Everything he touched had to be cleaned or thrown away. His parents covered themselves whenever they were around him and refused to let him leave his bedroom. He realized through his suffering and solitude that this was the next best thing that could happen aside from being blessed by an actual snake because he could use the oil from poison ivy like venom to fight and learned to control where his leaves grew. As Ayuub grew up, he kept his leaves and vines on his head and staff. Coating his staff in oil, he sometimes carves two parallel lines to mimic a snake bite into victims and leaves them to itch and possibly produce an infection. Because of what humans did to some of his relatives, he hates them all and believes them to be utterly disgusting. (definitely supports the Empress) Wanting to follow in his father's footsteps, Ayuub began training with him from a very young age and decided to leave home and go out to become a soldier.
