Calvinus "Calvin" Morrison

Friendly to a fault to anyone he meets. He is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy who believes that if the gods will it, it will be done. He loves his brother, niece, and nephew above all else. Calvin feels a deep connection to the children of Thor, Modi and Magni, since his own twin, Ceaser, and himself have similar features such as their striking red beards. He has been seen as lazy by his family in the past for living with them instead of finding his own way in life and seeks to prove them wrong.

Calvin also enjoys chronicalling plants and animals in his journal as a pasttime. He sketches interesting finds on his exploits, and presses plants in its pages. His artistic nature leads him to be attracted to anything aesthetically attractive. In addition to studying plants and animals, he also studies magic religiously to learn upper-level spells.

Calvin has red hair and a beard that are curly and poofy. His hair is up away from his face in a sort of high-top fashion with loose curls. His beard reaches just past his chin, curling wildly. He has the Norse rune Aesc tattooed on his inner right arm and an image of Yggdrasil, the world tree, tattooed on the back of his left thigh. He dresses fairly formally with the addition of a brown, crupled, witches hat, but always wears open-toed shoes and shorts, weather permitting. He carries a pouch of potions, runestones, and coinage on his hip, a journal, a yew wand with a runestone of the rune Algiz on either side (one reversed, and one normal), and a necklace with a small bird skull strung onto it. He has large circular glasses with a green tint to them over his downturned, green eyes.

Calvin is a long-time follower of the Ash Tree. While most who follow this religion believe the Ash Tree to be of Celtic roots, Calvin believes the actual origin to be Yggdrasil, the Nordic legend of the world tree. Like those who follow the ash tree, he believes it to walk among the faithful in human guise. He believes this to be possible through the restructuring of the 9 worlds during Ragnorak allowing the world tree to break free and the worlds to no longe require the support of its branches. He uses runes to cast his magic, adapting them to his needs. His wand bears the mark of the rune Algiz on a runestone fixed to the bottom and Algiz reversed on the opposing side. This represents his control over life and death being a wizard studying necromancy. Due to a complicated moral code involving his trade, Calvin has never resurrected a human, and elects not to unless absolutely necessary.

Calvin joined many cults as a young wizard who was just starting out. His ideals clashed with the leaders of each group leading him to seek to form his own instead. He had a brief run trying to recruit people into his ranks, but found that perhaps a solo approach was more his speed before meeting his current travelling party. In the time between these two events, Calvin lived with his brother, Ceaser, and his brother's husband, Harold, a blue wyvern shifter as well as their two children, Lottie (5) and Charlie (7) in their home in the underground.
