Backstory: 

During the early days of  Yoshitsune's rule of being the grandmaster, she had a few students she was training so they could assist her in battles incase she were to get wounded. Some of her students at the time happen to include yoshimitsu's parents, they would always mention settling down and having a kid but due to the dangers of training under yoshitsune's rule the chance of starting a family would be slim. In secret the two end up giving birth to a yoshimitsu and start to silently raise him as best as they could until Yoshitsune's found out about their little secret. Surprisingly she wasn't mad about and would even play with the baby.

Everything was fine until a disaster struck, it was a corruption event that ended 

up killing Yoshitsune's 's entire squad including yoshimitsu's parents. With the parents gone and no one to raise bro, she had no choice but to raise him along side some of the abandoned babies she found. (The babies being Shifu and Pan pan )
