Doctor is an individual who seems to be surrounded by death; it's touch always trailing behind Doctor like a long, gloomy shadow. This has caused it to be terrified of getting close to others, in fear it may somehow be responsible for their untimely deaths, merely by being close to them. This is very unfortunate as Doctor is a lonely individual who deeply craves relationships (even if they are somewhat paranoid of them), but they have ultimately decided that other's safety is more important than their desire for closeness.
Doc is a mysterious individual, popping up at random times and skulking in the shadows, mostly to observe others since it feels it shouldn't get close to anyone, and observing others is the closest way it can get to 'hang out' with others. This habit, combined with their questionable occupation of back alley doctor, causes others to feel creeped out by it. This saddens it, but feels maybe that's for the best, since that would further prevent others from getting close to it.
