Backstory:
Falkon used to live in an Elven city with his father. He was born from wedlock and as good old medieval logic dictates, the woman can't possibly keep and care for the baby by herself. So papa took on the 'burden' of raising Falkon as penance for his sins.  As a half breed Falkon was not well accepted by the elven community and mostly shunned. His father had him work at the local church to help atone for being a child made from sin. His father wasn't the loving sort and barely gave him the time of day. Falkon grew up being a bit of a trouble maker to get some form of attention.

Because of this, when Falkon was around 18 and framed for theft, he was quickly accepted as the actual culprit and banished with nothing but a crossbow and expected to wander for the rest of his life. He wandered but was not adept at caring for himself to that extent and found himself starving within a matter of weeks. He aimlessly traveled, praying for shelter until ended up at the doorstep of a rickety old church that was abandoned like him and found his deity, the god of the hunt. The god took pity on Falkon and gave him food and taught him the basics of how to catch and prepare game. Falkon is grateful for the mercy shown to him by Malar and is faithful to the chaotic god. They have a very passive relation and Malar only really buts in when he sees Falkon doing something that could benefit him. Having seen that Falkon has grown into a strong and capable vassal, Malar is willing to continue granting Falkon access to his power.

extra facts:

  • While Falkon is his real name he treats it as an alias by not using his last name.
    • Falkon's father didn't think he deserved an elvish name and couldn't be bothered to look up Human names, so he took a common animal and altered the spelling

  • During his time growing up in the elven city, he worked in the temple of Selardine where he learned to speak Sylvan and Celestial along with Elvish.

  • He has a younger half-sister who is full elf named Ecaeris

  • As a teen, he had a small crush on an elven girl in his village named Kaylessa though nothing came of it
    • even though he's more or less shunned by elves he still finds Elven women particularly attractive and will usually try flirting with them

  • Falkon is from Karse(thank you DM powers for making it a nice and lively Elven town instead of abandoned and creepy)
    • Yatar is one of the cities that uphold Falkon's banishment in sympathy for Karse

  • when it comes to being a Malarite he isn't bothered by blood but knows if he is going to kill that it is considered more honorable to his god for the kill to be long and bloody. He doesn't always remember to do that and tends to have a habit of putting prey out of their misery.

  • As far as holy days go, he's not one to participate in the high hunt but he'll usually participate in the feast of the stags.

Party Relations:

      =player characters=
Fig-(Female, goblin, warlock)-  basically the annoying little sister he doesn't want but tolerates. he's more or less aware that she's a warlock now and doesn't really care since they work well together.
Max-(Male, half-giant, barbarian)  They're cool. they don't talk much but seem to have a mutual agreement to help each other. If he tries to grab Falkon's ass again he will be getting a guiding bolt to the face.
Midha- (Female, Human, Warlock) He's suspicious of her since he's seen her spy on him before. all the same, he has offered to help her since she has mentioned that she no longer wants to be in her pact. She has since gone off on her ow and he figures that she has her reasons for doing so.
Erhan- (Male, Human, Wizard) - He joined the party shortly after Midha's goodbye. While Erhan hasn't been apart of the party for very long he has more than pulled his weight. Falkon is amused with Erhan's curiosity regarding his religious ceremonies and his equal curiosity with the Celestial language.

      =Nonplayer characters=
Iron-( one-winged kobold) he regrets making a deal with this creature to allow them to ride on his back whenever they wanted. all the same, Falkon enjoys the little guy's antics from time to time. he's not allowed in the bed any more though.

Moss- (Human, Druid) After spending a decent amount of time around the Druid, Falkon feels a bit safer about trusting him. Moss clearly has skeletons in his closet but Falkon is willing to turn a blind eye due to his interest in Moss's daughter.

Klarg- (dethroned bugbear) At this point Bygones are bygones, while Klarg is one of the weaker fighters of the growing Mercenary troop, Falkon values his advice and considers this past enemy a decent ally.

Willow- (Half-Elf, Druid) Moss's Daughter and a fellow worshipper of Malar. Falkon very quickly became interested Willow due to their similarities and started developing more romantic intentions. Being around her makes him feel like he has a place where he belongs.  [they're officially engaged, she moved in with him and will be adventuring with the party from now on]

Bark- (Half-Orc, Druid), Moss's Son and the younger of the siblings. Falkon is pretty sure if he dies it's going to be because Bark murdered him in the night for pursuing his sister.

Lykos- (Werewolf) Despite the intimidating first impression, and awkward second impression the two generally get along well. Falkon easily regards Lycos as a trusted ally, even though he is a werewolf. Falkon generally does what he can to help Lycos's condition stay a secret from the citizens of Phandalin.

Johnathan- The new mayor of Phandalin after the last one passed away in a raid. John and Falkon tend to get along pretty well. Falkon will usually go to Jonathan with suggestions to help Phandalin grow and ideas that come to mind if issues arise.

Goals:
-make some money with the group in their newly established mercenary troop.
-Protect Phandalin.
       - set up a guild for adventurers to try and keep the more dangerous jobs on the bulletin board out of the hands of civilians

-increase the strength and number of followers of Malar, to increase his god's strength and in turn increase his own

-//Coughs// set himself up so he can have a good life for a respectable future as a husband and father. [he's starting to develop more long term goals. this likely will not be something he acts on for some time]
