Description

He was raised by his mother and father, but the two made up a rather toxic environment. They drank excessively, to the point where they couldn’t remember anything last night and were sick like dogs in the morning. No one ever seemed to call social services on the family, so nothing really changed. He grew up knowing what alcohol does to a person, and so knows not to drink too much.

He went to school for a while and graduated high school. After which he joined the army. It gave him an excuse to get away from his parents and earn something on the side. He served for about eight years, then was dismissed.

By this point in his life he didn’t know what to do with himself. He remained unemployed for the longest time. He had tried finding jobs in the past but not many folks wanted to take a veteran. So he pretty much was a man on the streets, sleeping in cardboard boxes and eating half-eaten burgers. It remained like that for years… until he was bitten.

By the looks of the bite mark on his shoulder, the pokemon was small. Probably a pikachu or a growlithe. He went through the same things most infected folks went through: The hot flashes and the flu and all that fun stuff. The night he transformed he was shocked to see his form was much, much larger than he was originally expecting.

He used this form to his advantage and lived off the land for a few more years. He’d wander through town during the day and wander around the forests in his other form during the night. He’d get a little money for himself harvesting pokemon skins for those who made coats and such out of them, that and collected plenty of berries and such in his spare time. He got a little money this way and used it to keep him fed.

However, one day, things changed. That particular day he had been wandering inside Wintervale’s hospital. He had a friend there that he usually got cheap cigarettes from. On the way to find this friend he noticed people crowding in a certain section. He couldn’t help but wander over and check. Here they were crowding around a baby, who was said to have been born with the poketitis disease. They even proved it with blood samples. The hospital staff stated that she’d be euthanized because of her disease, and everyone around seemed to agree to it… except for Pontius. He didn’t like that idea one bit and found it unfair for the poor child. So, when the crowd had dispersed and no one was looking, he snuck in and stole her. He stuff her in his clothes and began making his way back to his house.

He was on the run now, and he knew it. They’d be looking for him and this baby. So he packed up what he could and wandered off into the forests. Just him and Baby Poketitis, at least that’s what the hospital had named her temporarily. As they wandered around he ultimately gave her the name Minocqua, which she seemed to like just by smiling a little. He made a promise to her then and there that he wouldn’t leave her, and he wouldn’t raise her like his parents had raised him.

Long story short they ultimately found Coalfell and were both admitted into the database as infected people. They found a house and Pontius began making a living by becoming a hired assassin. The income is not always there, but he gets paid handsomely for what little work he does. He’s known for being an excellent shot, hence the nickname ‘Bulls-eye’.

He’s rough around the edges but he manages to live seeing people die and has a baby to watch over, so what do you expect? He and his baby currently live happily within Coalfell, and can almost always be spotted together. Whether it’s walking around town or in the skies as their pokemon forms.
