Leech, originally Second-born Green Dragonet, was born in a clutch of three to parents He Who's Scales Shine Bright Through Dark Water and She Who Slays Large Squid just south-eastern from the old nightwing peninsula that his community had inhabited for generations after the original departure of the Nightwings. After sneaking onto the shore to bask in the sun and play on the beach, he and his sister are caught in battle against a nightwing scout. He wounds the nightwing and retreats into the ocean, and he and his sister are named He Who Takes Blood From Night Dragon and She Who Succumbs In Battle.
