From they day they were born, Eyela was alone in the world. Never having any parents to take care of them, they learned from a young age how to fend for themselves. When they were growing up, they never ventured far from the small pond they lived in, and never met another plottie until they were much older. Due to their grotesque appearance and lack of basic social understandings, those who saw them thought Eyela was a monster of sorts, and treated them as such. At first it was just running away when they drew near, but over time it grew more and more violent, until one day a mob of local citizens drove them out of the pond, forcing them to flee elsewhere. Spurned by this, they took a dislike towards others, and grew up to see them as nothing more than prey to play with.
Eventually they found a new, larger pond to settle in, this one connected to a river system, and quickly found joy in tormenting the local populace. Unlike the last group, these plotties never saw what was terroising them, and they soon started rumors of a local lake monster living nearby. Some started making sacrifices to the new monster, which Eyela took with pleasure. But still they continue to prowl and torment, roaming lake to lake, river to river, looking for their next victim.
