Cactus

Personality: Calm, even under pressure, but forgetful and easily distracted.

History: Before Cactus hatched, a pair of Sandwings found his egg all alone. They waited to see if anyone would come for the egg, but when nobody did, they adopted it as their own. When the egg hatched, they named the dragonet Cactus and raised him as their son. However, when Cactus was only two years old, an adult Nightwing came to the family, and told them that Cactus had to leave them. They were devastated, but Catcus' parents thought that maybe it would be good for him to be among Nightwings. After all, Cactus had never shown any sign of being able to see the future or read minds, and his parents thought that perhaps it was a skill that the Nightwings could teach him. And so, Cactus left for the Nightwing island.

After arriving at the Nightwing island, Cactus found that it was a miserable place. Any hopes of gaining new powers were quickly squashed, but Cactus was strictly forbidden from leaving. He developed a deep loathing of the islands and other Nightwings as a whole, and swore that he would escape at the first opportunity, and return to his real family. 

He wouldn't get his chance for a long time, however. Not until the volcano erupted and sent the Nightwings fleeing into the rainforest. But when he got that chance, he seized it. Before the panic had even died down, he leapt into the air and took off for the Kingdom of Sand, determined to find his parents.
