A half-elf knight dubbed "The Noble Paladin." With a quick blade and a sharp mind, she is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
As the youngest member of the esteemed Royal Qataba Guard, as well as the princess's personal guard, Valda holds one of the most prestigious positions in the kingdom. She is skilled, analytical, and calculated in both movement and speech. Having trained under the late Great Edwin, she is hailed as one of the best swordswomen in the desert.
Valda is extremely overprotective of the princess. This has grown to the point where she struggles to separate her personal feelings and attachments from her job. Despite her serious demeanor, Valda is very lenient when it comes to Princess Nahla, even giving in to her requests to explore more dangerous areas outside of the city despite her better judgment.
Being part elf, Valda is nimble, dexterous, and small. Though Valda hasn't been fighting for as nearly as long as some of the other soldiers in the Guard, she knows and is confident of both the extent and limit of her abilities. She is a highly observant and effective teacher, experienced at judging the skills of the other members of the Guard. Due to her age and her status as the princess's personal guard, however, she often feels isolated from the other members, resulting in her being a fairly private, solitary person.

- She owns a trained hawk named Khepri.
- Part of the reason why she always wears gloves is so that she can call Khepri to her at any time.
- Though she hates the idea of losing control, another reason why she dislikes alcohol is because she is a lightweight (but she wouldn't dare admit it).
- She knows how to play the piano and the violin.
- She has an irrational fear of spiders.

Rapier [ Primary ]
Light, deadly, and elegantly made. Can be used as a channel for magic.
Crossbow [ Secondary ]
Accurate and piercing. Its long range makes up for possible weaknesses in swordfighting, but it also makes it hard to do close-range combat.
Life Potion [ Healing ]
Heals to full HP. Always carries at least two of these in her bag just in case.
Gwendolian Earrings [ Defense ]
Increases defense. Said to bear other magic powers.
Nahla [ Charge ]
Nearly everyone in the palace knows about Valda's feelings for the princess—that is, except for Valda and Nahla themselves. The two get along quite well, and Valda appreciates Nahla's brave and kind-spirited nature.
Tehar [ Ally ]
Though Valda finds Tehar's passive and peaceful outlook to be preachy and irritating at times, she respects him greatly and considers him a valuable ally.
Terrace [ Acquaintance ]
Valda met Terrace once while accompanying the princess on one of her ventures. Because she is unaware of their plots against the royal family, she has no feelings towards them as of now.
