Isaac was the born to a famed inventor and his wife. Ever since born, he struggled with many issues— literally, as he was born with water in his lungs— which never stopped accumulating. His mother died whilst he was still young, leaving his dad to raise him by himself while still trying to successfully run his home security business. Isaac's dad was incredibly clever and charismatic, making it so that his business was very successful, fortunately. However, his dad was so invested into his job that it resulted in Isaac growing up as a lonely child.
In a last ditch effort to reach out to his father, Isaac started to create inventions using his toys and Legos, as his father often liked to invent in his spare time. His inventions started off as harmless and endearing to his father, but quickly took a turn for the worse when one of Isaac's inventions almost caused him to drown. Although the event was traumatizing, resulting in Isaac's aversion to water, it did make it so that his father stopped spending all his time running the business and instead start spending his time raising his son. They moved from the busy city to the countryside, where his father could drive to work while Isaac had room to run around and play (all while avoiding any body of water). The rest of his childhood was fairly normal. He attended school, all while getting top grades, even if his teachers disliked his personality or how he acted, and went all the way to college.
The rest of his life was normal until the monster attacks began. Although he quickly discovered and grew into his powers, his dad was worried about how reckless he tended to be, as well as the fact he had no support or teammates. When the Elysium University scholarship came out, his dad pushed him to take it and attend the school, welcoming the idea of a team. Although Isaac was a bit reluctant to accept, he eventually relented and chose to attend Elysium University.
As he was growing up, his father eventually noticed how Isaac had strange habits and couldn't sit still and constantly made impulsive decisions. Refusing to believe something was wrong with his son, his father refused to do anything about it. This trend continued until Isaac finally begged his father to go to a therapist after learning about ADD in high school, where he finally got diagnosed with the disorder. He got medication but is incredibly bad at keeping up with it, making it so that his inactiveness followed him all the way to college. As a result, he needed a way to let out his energy, which resulted in many unhealthy habits that he's since struggled to break out of.
