Profile
Calm tiger, probably has some pretty tattoos of pond birds, drinks a ton of tea.
Whereas most werecreatures follow the monthly rhythms of the full moon, the stormblood tiger's change is connected to the floods brought by annual rainfall. In parts of the world where flooding or heavy rains are both regular and predictable, such as during the Deluge in Belkzen, these lycanthropes stalk the land hunting for prey. Every night after the floods begin, a stormblood tiger is forced into its hybrid form until sun rises or the waters recede, usually 2–3 months later. The remainder of the year, stormblood tigers walk undetected among the population, often mistaken for hunters or scouts.
Because of the stormblood tiger's fearsome reputation and powerful abilities, some foolhardy orc warriors view becoming a stormblood tiger as a path to greatness—a blessing instead of a curse. In their minds, it's more important to have this power at hand during times of conflict than worry about disrupting peace during the Flood Truce. Wiser voices argue that too many stormblood tigers roaming about during the Flood Truce risks ending the accord altogether.
The Wylderhearts are an organization of demon-hunting mages reborn from obscurity after Treerazer's defeat in the Elven kingdom of Kyonin. Their tales from the past tell of how they were folk heroes of Sovyrian who saved others with heroic effort and even hunted alongside Ketephys god of the hunt, claiming they returned to Golarion to imprison Treerazer in Tanglebriar to prevent his corruption from spreading. They remained to finish the task of exterminating demons, and many werecreatures are welcomed because of their connection to nature. They are very cheerful even in their grim tasks, believing they need all the love possible to combat the pure hatred embodied by the demons they fight.
Commonly carries two Sensu (folding fans) and a Wagasa (washi oil-paper partasol), pond patterend with flowers, fish, and birds in a topdown view. The fans are actually elegant weapons disguised as accessories, useful for dances as well as slicing unsuspecting foes with the blades along their outer edges. The umbrella's ferrule is a hollow-tipped blade three to four inches in length and often overlooked as decorative. Reinforced ribs enable the umbrella's tear-resistant canopy to parry and deflect attacks. An injection resevoir receptacle inside the fans' and umbrella's handles can be loaded with a single dose of injury poison and injected into an injured target with the pull of a sliding trigger.
