 Name: Maynard | Maynard is one of my oldest characters, I made him at a time when he was more of an imaginary friend turned imaginary guardian. I wanted to make someone who is friendly but still introverted, a very interpersonal personality but still reserved. Maynard is an outwardly friendly and outgoing personality. He attaches to people quickly and Maynard is laid back and very hospitable. Open for the most part, but sometimes passive and in some instances can become volatile. Maynard is quick to stress but hides it well. His chronic depression tends to bleed into his social skills. He has Borderline Personality Disorder, and as a result has an extremely high amount of empathy. It can be overwhelming to him and he internalizes it. Maynard wants love and companionship but is very hesitant to trust. and finds it hard to deal with emotional barriers and wants emotional honesty from people. But Maynard also experiences feelings of being an outsider despite trying to be open. He observes others and fears rejection and conflict. Maynard enjoys escapism and getting involved into fiction like video games, but also needs to move around and be active or his overthinking gets to him. Maynard was taken in by Robert to be a Guardian in place of Robert's son, Xajir. A Guardian's duties are varied and often on-going, missions and jobs ranging from hours to days doing anything needed. Maynard fell back on being a Guardian once again after Manifesto occurred. Robert hoped Maynard would excel in abilities as much as Luna, but she remains peerless in her skill. Maynard was offered the position of being promoted to Angel class and denied it out of fear. |
