Benny

A plush sheep who is the last living member of his species, Guardians -- at least, as far as he's aware. The stuffed animal-esque species were more comparable to guardian angels, made for the purpose of finding and aiding their charges by any means necessary until their purpose was fulfilled. Their homeworld was raided and the species hunted to near extinction. Benny doesn't talk about any of his previous charges, and claims that he doesn't have one anymore. There's no kids here who need him more than he needs to live.

Benny uses his technically-protected status work in loopholes of the interdimensional law as the current owner of Century Station and leader of the Railroad Renegades, helping runaways and vagrants with free travel between worlds. He comes off as callous and disconnected to those who don't know him, but those who do will say he's the one who cares the most. Guardians need a purpose, and Benny has found his with the Renegades.

The "stuffing" inside a Guardian isn't cotton or anything, but rather magic packed tightly enough into coils that it's tangible. It looks like normal stuffing, but if one were to touch it, it wouldn't be quite solid -- a texture more like cloud. This magic is what allows Guardians to exhibit signs of life like movement and speech. Over his many years of life, Benny's lost a lot of his magic and replaced it with normal stuffing, which severely limits his mobility. The fabric and fur that make up his exterior are worn and matted from countless charges. The plastic of his eyes and horns are similarly worn, but never seem completely lose their sheen.

Gale is Benny's best friend. Kami is his worst enemy (and best employee).
