Alyra

Alyra comes from a species that loves fighting and whose clans are constantly at war. She got fed up, as she has a peaceful nature, cut off the barb on her tail, gathered her few belongings and left home. She found a roc feather early in her travels, which she tied to her tail and now uses like a quill (she can write with her hands too). It is permanently ink-stained.

She is independent, strong, and has a love for knowledge. Her 'occupation', if you will, is that of a wanderer and story collector. She keeps two books: one that she sketches in and presses flowers and such from her travels with, and one that she uses to write down the stories of the world. She goes around, like you might imagine, and asks people to tell her their stories. She might stay somewhere for a day, or a year. Her life is determined by what she feels at the moment, and she enjoys every second of it.

Alyra has only one magical ability. She can produce a single light blue-green bubble at any time, and at any size up to two-peoples’ worth. Anyone can step inside, so it’s not useful for combat. Rather, its main function is keeping out the weather. It can keep out hail, rain, snow, almost anything except larger things like lightning and tornadoes. She uses it in place of a tent, and it has the unique property of keeping in warmth, so it’s ideal when she’s in the middle of a snowstorm. Snow and rain accumulates on top of the bubble and clouds it like glass, however, so it’s only really suitable for sitting or standing still. She doesn’t usually use it when walking (which would be impractical for the reasons mentioned above).
