Pisces' mother was a woman just trying to make ends meet, doing her best to pick up small jobs as a palliative care nurse and save up enough money to live a stable life. She eventually married her high school sweetheart, and the extra income from his carpeting work helped the two of them build a stable life, stable enough to start the family they always dreamed of. Unfortunately for them, their struggles continued, the poor woman suffering pregnancy loss after loss, which took a heavy toll on them both mentally. For the longest time, they had tried, but after so many attempts and way too many failures, they gave up on actively trying. They continued forward, doing their best to pay the bills and make the most out of a tough and unforgiving situation. A few years later, Pisces' mother was hit with the terrible news that her husband had tragically passed in a car accident, leaving her despondent and without any hope left. She spent the next two weeks grieving until she began to feel ill. Chalking it up to the stages of grief and their severity, she ignored it, until one day something just told her to go see a doctor. It was there that she found out she was pregnant with Pisces, her dear, sweet, rainbow baby.

The knowledge of Pisces' existence helped her mother push through her grief, wanting to give her girl the life she never had. She tried to not let the fear of possibly losing Pisces deter her from trying her hardest to preserve the life that her husband had left her. It was as if the stars had aligned for her finally, and after a lot of care and love, Pisces entered the world with no complications. Her mother was ecstatic, her love for the little girl endless and strong, which, unfortunately, ended up a bit tougher for Pisces in the long run. As the little girl grew, her mother hovered over her constantly, not allowing her to go anywhere unsupervised or partake in any activities with friends that she deemed dangerous. Her fear of losing her only baby, her only memento of her late husband clouded her better judgment- and despite Pisces trying to challenge her thought process, her mother constantly denied her any freedom.

As Pisces grew, her mother steadily became more lenient, however, she still put her foot down when it came to things that seemed too dangerous or shady for comfort; one of those things being going to the beach. From a very young age, Pisces yearned to see the ocean, to feel the water at her feet and the sand between her toes. Living in a picturesque place like Whitelight Shores did nothing to curb her desire to be closer to the water, and after a lot of persuasion and agreement to allow her mother to supervise, Pisces got to finally visit the ocean. Seeing just how happy Pisces was in that moment helped her mother realize that she needed to give her daughter the freedom to live, and to be. And so, she did, despite her worrying- but it made Pisces life all the easier. At present, Pisces lives on her own, but always calls her mother to reassure her that despite her paranoia, she is alive.
