Garrick

Garrick is a captain of a ship in a dungeons and dragons world, the captain of the party! He is a NPC that the players have grown to love and even look foward to, helping me create him every step of the way to finally make someone who has truly nestled himself into my heart.

Garrick has been dealt a hard hand. He finds the best way to deal with it is to make the cards soggy in alcohol until he can pretend it is just a napkin to clean up all the bullshit his mistakes make. As he makes- a lot. Usually always trying to do the best thing brings him in a pile of lard. He isn't sure why he is still trying. Though- trying he does.

Garrick's parents gave him away to a business before the age of 6. From there he worked going up the ranks and proving himself in a realm wide organization called The Copper Expanse. Where they have authority to look over realms that other's do not have the power to do so. He collected the medals, doesnt wear them as wearing all the badges makes you look like a priss- he knows that. He ain't know priss. Or at least tries desperately to not be seen as one because of his own pride. He usually tries to be invisible if he can help it. If he isnt known, problems nor solutions can find him.

This doesn't exactly work out, as after getting a new crew of noobies, he finds himself caring about them way to much. Caring about their routines, their feelings, even got smited by one of their God's. Lightening scars over his chest because of that. Garrick thinks he does too much- too much good, too much bad. Too much. If it was up to him he would be in a ditch by now. Though, even if he doesnt want to recognize it- he smiles when talking to the younger ones, he can shush a baby too quickly, and has a great respect for the nature around him. He helps strangers while  cursing at himself for daring to, and he will usually put everyone else before himself.

Garrick can be found doing many things at many places. He can be found in bars, walking alone, at a shooting range or working on guns, researching guns, anything to do with guns. He fell in love with them and their history, how a good gun feels alive and the recoil makes him appreciate the next breath he takes into his lunges. He will play cards with strangers, smoke on a balcony, bake when stressed. Whatever he can do to make his body feel a little lighter at times.
