Cecil Marion Brady did not have an easy childhood. The sole child of a recently widowed mother, he found himself constantly berated through no fault of his own. His mother took her grief over losing a husband out on him, and constantly abused the boy. He grew up fearing his mother, but also having no one else to turn to, he loved her. As he began to grow, peculiar changes took place. It started with a small leaf poking out from an arm, which he promptly pulled out and forgot about. Until the leaf reappeared and began to grow. Eventually, a plant took over his frame, sinking its roots into his veins and forming a symbiotic relationship. Cecil's mother learned about the plant, and attempted to rip it from him. It left him a bleeding mess, but eventually he healed, and the plant only grew back. From that experience he learned to hide it all costs under clothing. On the warmest days he would still be seen dressed from head to toe. Cecil also also learned that he could control the plant, and cause others to grow.

Though it was traumatic, his childhood vastly improved after his mother's suicide. He went to live with a wealthy uncle, who would attempt to offer the world to Cecil. From his upbringing he was wary of the man, and often shut himself away in either his room or in the backyard of his uncle's manor. It was there that he cultivated his talents of growing plants, and his gardens grew. He would devoutly tend to his flowers, and shunned the affection of humans. Cecil carefully learned how to hide his emotions, and presented an almost robot-like demeanor.

When Cecil's uncle passed away due to natural causes, he finally decided to make something of his life. The manor was left to him, but he entrusted it in the care of the family's butler to seek out what he was. He joined in an organization that had formed for the pursuit of knowledge in hopes of learning who he was. While he failed on that point, he met his eventual wife within this organization. It was through the fear of losing her that he managed to learn to open up to people. To not always put on such a tough facade. He learned to smile again. Unfortunately, the organization was good for little else, and he and his wife left after growing increasinly frustrated with the leaders.

They returned to the manor, and their tale continues there now. Cecil sought out his biological father, and learned of his ties to the nymphs. He and his wife also have children of a sort -- a group of flowers that move and respond to human interactions.

• Gwen Brady (Mother - Deceased): Cecil's mother committed suicide by hanging herself when he was ten years old. She was stricken with grief over her husband's death, and guilt over having sexual relations outside her marriage. Mentally unstable after her husband's death, she verbally abused Cecil, as well as physically on rarer occassions. Cecil has mixed feelings about his mother. While she did horrible things to him she was also all he had as a boy. There were also times that they shared together that he remembers fondly. Cecil often avoids speaking about his mother because he doesn't want to reflect on the poorer times.
• Cecil Henry Brady (Father - Deceased): For a long time Cecil was led to believe that his father was his mother's husband. Despite being named for him (as his mother hoped that by doing so his father would be the man she married), Cecil knows relatively little about this man. As he grew up he began to look more and more like his biological father, and his mother could no longer deny who the father was to herself. This led to resentment against her own child, and she refused to speak about her husband to him. Cecil Henry Brady died before the son was born due to complications of cancer.
• Benjamin Halloway (Biological Father): Cecil only learned about his biological father recently. He sought out the man because he had questions about the plant wrapped around his frame. It was through his biological father that he learned they were descended from a race known as the Anthousai Nymphs or flower nymphs. Most nymphs have large sexual appetites, and Cecil's biological father is no exception. He was essentially known as the town man whore, and though Cecil turns to him for advice about the plant, he prefers to avoid his father for fear of what being descended from nymphs would mean for his relationship with his wife.
• Samson Brady (Uncle - Deceased): Before her suicide, Cecil's mother brought him to her brother-in-law, Samson. The man agreed to look after Cecil while his mother sought help. When she turned to suicide instead of getting help, Samson decided to adopt Cecil as his own. He felt guilty at not being there for his brother during his trials with cancer, and thought to make up for his errors through looking after his son. While Samson realized Cecil was not really his brother's son, he also knew that his brother would have cared for the boy as his own. Cecil loved and still loves his Uncle, and highly respects his legacy.
