About.

A wandering necromancer and practitioner of poison, Fortuna is a girl kissed by the Scheming Mother Sokil herself. Although she has inwardly rejected the Orders and moral societies of Cafreidor, she dances through them with a deceitful tongue of silver.

But, regardless of how nice she plays with others, she keeps everyone at an arms’ length, watching and plotting at all times. A snake hiding in the tall grasses in the Garden of Eden, Fortuna is simply lying in wait.

✦ The Angelic: The Positive.

Calm, collected, and politely aloof, Fortuna keeps her secrets close to her chest. She is a creature of caution, preferring to wait until the last minute to reveal her deck, and is adept at lying in wait until the perfect time to strike. She has a keen and incredible mind, used for developing schemes and intricate plots, and takes full advantage of it. She isn’t a half-hearted individual by any means, and puts deliberate thought into her every move. The world is her chess board, and she’s aiming for a check mate.

Distant as she may be, Fortuna is utmostly devoted to her personal beliefs and demands. Her being is shaped by her goddess, and she is a great respecter of this strict order she has positioned herself in. Beauty, freedom, love, and life are second, if not entirely without value to her. Such so-called good is useless to the over plan of things, and those too weak to defend their possessions and positions don't deserve to have them in the first place.

Fortuna was a daughter of the noble courts, however, and as such, she is no stranger to false niceties. Her cool and calm nature only aids with her persuasion, with a natural confidence bestowing her with a level of believability. She knows how to pull others in her favor, how to twist her or others words to gain the upper hand, and navigate legal loopholes. High society is an odd game to navigate, but Fortuna finds playing the part to be second nature. Words are her weapons as often as knives or poison, and secrets are her favorite treasures.

✦ The Middle Ground: The Neutral.

Fortuna was raised to keep her cards close to her chest, and as a result, she is politely aloof. She is particularly secretive, and hates to part with her secrets, insteading opting to weave a web of deceptions and false niceties. Few people get to understand where her mask starts and ends, and while she is never outwardly dismissive, she keeps everyone at an arms length.

In her youth, Fortuna had been burdened with her survivors’ guilt. The pain of grief made her loathe herself, but as Sokil accepted her for her monstrosity, she came around to her own self. She is a hardened creature, with clawed fingertips stained with blood… but what was wrong with that? In this hateful and cold world, why shouldn’t she brandish her claws? A vanity has developed within herself with the help of Sokil’s teachings. She was not a misfortune, but a blessing; a kiss from the mother of poison herself.

A daughter of the scheming mother, Fortuna is just as privy to plots and malicious planning as her goddess. She is detail-oriented, observant and dedicated to achieving whatever she wants, and notorious for using underhander methods to do so. Willing to do anything for her goddess and her newfound way of life, she can be rather bullheaded when it comes to her beliefs. She is stagnant and rigid, disregarding anybody who doesn't agree with her. She has defined her terms and will live by them, whether anyone else likes it or not.

✦ The Devilish: The Negative.

With Sokoil’s help, Fortuna maintained her calculated persona, but grew more embittered and merciless. When her code calls for it, she is a cold-hearted girl, willing to hurt or dispose of anybody. She doesn’t care about what happens to others, and believes the strong should take priority over the weak. She tends to generally play by the rules, for the sake of simplicity, but without mercy or compassion for others.

Although she may generally follow an odd sense of order and code, Fortuna is undoubtedly cruel when pushed. While those who are innocent in her eyes might not be deliberately hurt, she has little care if they are affected in the crossfire. A true believer in the most extreme forms of punishment, a savage twist of an eye-for-an-eye, Fortuna is brutal and ruthless.

Valued above everything on the Material Plane by Fortuna is herself and her god’s will. Although she welcomes the aid of others, and maintains a vague sense of loyalty to those who aid her, she is ultimately self-serving. She seeks to obtain the best end results for herself, and has no concern for those who suffer for her gain. She isn’t excessively careless in her own pursuits, but her needs and wants come first.
