Mist in the Valley

Misty is a curious and adventurous person, driven by wanderlust and a desire see more of the world, originating from her tabaxi urges. She often chases minor curiosities she comes across without much thought. As such she tends to quickly lose focus, leading to her to struggle with academic subjects and making her not very literate. She makes up for that with a very strong survival instinct that guides most of her decisions, making her an exceptional hunter. She wears all of these characteristics with pride, she doesn’t often hide or lie about herself. All of this stems from her upbringing in a chaotic tabaxi tribe on a dangerous island as the daughter or the chieftain.

Socially Misty is more of a quiet type, only really speaking if she feels like something that should have hasn't been said. She doesn't like being in the center of the attention, instead preferring to be in the background. The one thing Misty wants to hide from others is her tendency to be a hopeless romantic, falling for people pretty easily. She's not one to approach however, instead choosing to observe her crushes from afar, hoping for them to approach her. While she’s not ashamed of herself, she knows that she’s considered very eccentric to most and doesn’t want to face rejection because of it.

As a hunter Misty most often skulks from the shadows with her longbow, stalking her opponent like prey if necessary. Once her cover is blown she tends to pounce on her opponent like a predator, taking out her shortswords instead. She also cooperates her Woolbug Nimbus, either creating a distraction or having supportive spells optimize her capabilities.

Outlander

Mist in the Valley native to a small island off the shore of Chult, that shares many of the main land’s characteristics. The island houses the tribe of tabaxi she hails from, as well as a tribe of orcs and a growing red dragon. While the tribes would be at each other’s throats, ever since a red dragon had tried the settle on the island, they decided to settle on a truce until the dragon was slain. The two tribes have been at war with the dragon for a multiple generations. The tabaxi tribe itself is rather small and chaotic, as aside from the dragon the island is populated by lots of other dangerous creatures, which keep the tribe small and incredibly focussed on survival. Despite having a title being daughter of the chieftain, Misty has lived with very little extra luxury, especially compared to other places. She was raised to hunt for the sake of her also being able to defend herself, and was taught to be proud of that culture.

Misty was sent out on a quest away from the island however, as her father had become badly injured, and would need someone to take over the leadership of the tribe and she would have to take over the leadership within the next couple of years. However, Misty still lacked a partner, and couldn’t bond with anyone within the tribe, and as such she set out to find a fitting partner in the outside world. With her she took her retainers to guide her and keep her in check, three awakened animals, and left for Baldur’s Gate.
