Remedy Carafe

Rem is a person that's pretty hard to get to know. Due to her often, brash, rude, attitude and seeming general distaste of people, she is typically considered rather mean and cruel by the general population. Rem has no genetic powers of her own which she makes up for by creating potions and magic dusts and selling them to whoever will pay. This philosophy, alongside her sourcing of materials contributes to her poor reputation.

Remedy was born into a family of sorcerers/sorceresses who all had blue eyes and some form of magic powers. On the day she was born, she breifly was shown to have bright blue eyes, but over an extremely short period of time they faded to the deep purple that they are now. While some might see the feat as a sign of purity, her parents saw it as corruption and believed Rem was posessed by a demon. Due to this, Rem faced years of inacceptance, verbal cruelty, and exorcism therapy that all amounted to nothing but a lowered self image. Remedy's entire childhood was spent trying to please her parents, even going to lengths to learn her family's ancient skill of creating potions but all with no results. 

Rem has a big heart for those she cares about, such as Micci and, begrudgingly, her younger sister Melody. The latter doesn't really see this because she is too focused on following their parents guidence and perceiving Rem as a monster. Rem overall wishes to be a nice person, she just can't ever see herself reaching that because of all of the ridicule she received at a young age.

You could say, "she heard people call her a monster so much that she began believing it herself".

Despite everything, Rem plays an active role in helping Micci's clients and Donette as a whole through her profession.
