Lucien

Summary of Backstory:

Leon’s grandfather (who was the king) had a high priest who purged the kingdom of witches. But he spared a witch, Wisteria, because she didn’t have bad intentions. When his grandfather died, Leon’s father, Elric, became the King. He was a spoiled kid and was ignorant, so he turned to Wisteria to help rule the kingdom and maintain his power. Due to a misunderstanding later on, the King unknowingly ordered his guards to kill Wisteria’s only son (who was born a few years before Leon). Outraged, Wisteria wanted to turn Elric’s son, Leon, into the most hideous creature, a dragon, so that he would be shunned by the kingdom (just as witches have been). But she lacked a dragon soul in her ingredients, so the spell didn’t immediately turn him into a dragon; she instead cursed him to turn into a dragon each time he acted badly.

Leon wasn’t exactly the charming teenage prince either. He was greedy and often unpleasant to be around. Regardless, he was royalty, so everyone had to deal with his attitude. After being cursed, he started to notice changes in his body. First, his hair started to turn brown/black, and then one of his eyes turned red. For a year, he hid it with an eyepatch. But the more he changed, the less human he became, accelerating his transformation. Dark rune patterns started to appear from his arms to his neck. He tried his best to hide it by wearing high collared jackets, but it eventually spread to his face.

By that point, he couldn’t stay in his palace or he would be accused of witchcraft. So, he ran away and assumed the name, “Lucien”. By that point, he had long black hair and dark red eyes that looked nothing like Elric or his grandfather.
