Frederick Binding

Background

As one of the pioneers in the bookbinding and publishing industry, Binding's Bindings is among the most well-respected publishing houses in the business. The founder, Frederick Binding, firmly believed that every author had a story worth listening to. One day, he came across a strange submission under the name, "Thimblebottom". Intrigued by the unique writing style, Binding was the only one to see genius where no one else could. He immediately reached out to the author personally and promised that his works would not only be published but reach libraries all around the world. Though long deceased, Binding made arrangements to ensure the continued operation of his company as well as the preservation of Thimblebottom's works, much to the confusion of shareholders and literary analysts alike.

Personality

Binding's personality is a bit of a cross between a posh rich person and an eccentric book lover. He has many connections to various authors and other publishers, and loves to discuss all things literature, usually with the author of said literature. Despite acting (and dressing) rich, he reinvests all his earnings back into his business and often makes risky decisions just for the fun of it. 

Appearance

Binding has a slightly taller and thinner build, and has messy gray hair. He wears a neckerchief and a purple vest, and his key accessories are his walking cane and top hat.
