aww thank you so much! <3 The 'new' character I'm playing, Cinder, is still Swindle at his very core...just...in a body that has been violently repurposed by something (or someone) to house a very hungry, all consuming fire which competes against Swindle's sensibilities and better judgments. It's been a blast playing such a complicated/conflicted dynamic so far Q vQ

He's so cute I love him!

aww, thank you so much! <3

He's my favorite character to see on toyhouse (aside from my own babies lol). Would you mind if I made fanart of him? He's like, the best.

AAAA ; 0; I AM SO HAPPY YOU LIKE HIM!! You are more than welcome to draw him if you'd like to!! <3 I am so heckin' flattered!!!

"Swindle has no allegiance to any single deity and has never fucking heard from one in his entire life." i coughed and spooked my cats dont do This!

LOL I am pleased to hear that Swindle's lack of luck in drawing the attention of dieties serves as a source of humor hehehe

I have a really soft spot for this character <3 Not only because I love his design, although I gotta say I feel like- personally called out, it has everything I love. A tall scruffy magical nerd with cute af ears and fluffy hair? Bees give him to meeeee (also: gap tooth and painted nails. What a dork.)

But also: I find the premise of his personality extremely interesting and fun, because it opens up a lot of questions on social behaviour and morality that I've been asking myself before and just find really fun to explore? Like- we tend to paint kindness and compassion an intrinsic traits, things you are or aren't, ways you are born. But I find this is really destructive to a lot of people, bc not many ppl are naturally kind. But you can perform kindness, even if it doesn't come naturally to you. You can choose to be kind. But that also begs the question of like- whether motive should count or not. Like- Happy here is obviously trying to run away from his fuckups and has no intention to face the music, ever. He's trying to be nice, but he's not doing it out of genuine kindness, more because he feels like it'd absolve him of the guilt and make him more likeable. Those are pretty selfish motives, but does it matter? And if yes, how much?

I just- aaa I love that you made a character around this moral dilemma and I'm really curious to see where you take him! He's going to be very fun to play, for sure!

I've written a lot of myself into him--an exaggerated version, but still something I have been grappling with a lot ever since I was a teenager and a lot during my 20's. I genuinely want to be a nice, pleasant, positive person to be around but it's not my natural state of being (and boy howdy my inner snark is a real bastard). I'm really excited to play this struggle out through Swindle to examine the consequences and possible outcomes of this kind of thing in the safety of fiction! I am excited to share how his adventures play out! * U* <3

Oh man hard same. I am not a naturally nice person, I'm snarky as fuck. But i'm also real tired of negative, jaded, grumpy assholes, and being one doesn't make me happy, so! I try!! Imo you can't help your intrusive thoughts and mean compulsions, but you can be aware of them and work against them and just- make an effort to be a good person, and that matters much more.

Anyway yeah just to say, Swindle hit a lot of soft spots for me and I'm also really excited to see where you take him and how his adventures play out - for better or worse!

Yes the beautiful boy

ehehe thank you!!
