Profile

'This is but one of the legends of which the people speak.

'Born of the power left behind by the gods, alongside their Hyrulean brethren, Abyria,Obsidinian, and Firosk were charged with the great task of protecting not only the chosen land that would become home of the people of Goddess Hylia, but with the protection of the entirety of the realm which would encapsulate this world of light.

'From the fires of Din, Obsidinian came to be, bringing warmth to the frigid wastes; from the forests of Farore, Abyria emerged, carrying drink to the barren deserts; and from the light of Nayru, Firosk took shape, delivering light to the shrouded swamps.

'In their great power, these dragons brought the mortal realm to peace and defended it from evil under their mighty protection until an age arrived where they all but disappeared. As with their brethren, their power over the realm diminished until it was all but gone. The great protectors seemingly vanished entirely, leaving naught but the faintest traces of their legacies and their fates unknown.'

Once, in ancient times, a pride of dragons– Faron, Eldin, Lanayru, Abyria, Obsidinian, and Firosk –was born by the powers of the Golden Goddesses, and with the might of their powers bound as one, they guarded the Light World and all its inhabitants from the powers of evil. Abyria, the Keeper of the Coasts, took it upon herself to protect and sustain those who came to live in the deserts of the land, taking the tides of the ocean and carrying them to the wastes so as to give them drink.

One day, the Tidal Dragon took a certain liking to a woman. This woman of the desert led a tribe of nomadic humans through the great deserts if the world, and in spite of the hardships such a world delivered unto them, under the leadership of this lady, these peoples not only survived, they thrived. Filled with intrigue and adoration of this woman, the dragon disguised herself and approached the woman's caravan. Abyria was soon taken in by her people and over time she and the woman grew closer.

When she revealed the truth of her identity to the woman, their fates only grew ever closer. It would not be long before the two found themselves bound together in a deep and powerful relationship. With the Tidal Dragon's sacred blessings upon her, the woman's spirit only ever grew ever stronger, and with her newfound power, the woman led her tribe through such an age that she would forever be etched into their legends. Even when her time had long past, she would still be known to all their descendants.

To them, she would be known as the Goddess of the Sand.
