Delenus Sekaider

Backstory
An animal that plagues Kendesai is the notorious Spine-digger, a creature that overrides a Kendan's motor functions and forces them to separate themselves from the rest of the town to turn them into feral beasts. Survivors of the ordeal are known as the Afflicted, and are often irreversibly changed. Such a fate befell young Delenus Sekaider as a child. To this day, he has learned to cope with it, but was not without adversities. He was regularly mocked and shunned, and for a while denied his dream of becoming a knight due to issues with his aggression. With time, however, he proved his worth, challenging a draft officer to a duel Delenus chose to complement his endurance and ferocity rather than force it back down, a move that impressed King Azulos, and was granted training on the spot, and proper knighthood years later. After helping to drive off the usurper Frostolas, he was granted an official promotion to the elite guard by Aquaria, the only surviving royal, becoming a personal friend and bodyguard of her majesty. In addition, she ensured that discrimination would not be the sole legal answer the Afflicted would be given in response to their issues, scoring a major victory for him and others like him.
