Lore

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Jim is the youngest of two other brothers, Carl and Lucas. Jim along with his older brothers would have to eventually run away from their home of Halifax to Newfoundland.

Unlike his older brother, Jim found it the hardest to adapt to this new life. He found it incredibly difficult to fit in with anyone and thanks to his previous life in Nova Scotia, he was dealing with his own demons. Despite this as time went in he started to love his new life in Newfoundland and discovered his love for every type of flowers, typically planting a bunch around his and his brother home.

When Newfoundland found itself entering the Great War, Jim opted to stay out of it as he didn’t see himself becoming a soldier. For a good year Jim was alone as Carl and Lucas signed up. Eventually due to pressure from Carl and locals constantly asking why Jim was “not doing his part” he ended up joining the war.

Jim would be sent to the Western front under the Newfoundland regiment with his older brother, it seems like it would be fine despite the horrors of war. But with time going on. Jim felt himself going in a downwards spiral and then it came crashing down on July 1st, this day changed Jim forever. He clearly developed “shell shock” but nothing was done to help Jim effectively, he found himself suffering from a horrific nightmare and seeing things he rather wished he didn’t. To add on to this he found himself being transferred to the Canadian Expeditionary Force despite technically not living in Canada anymore. Now he find himself in an endless cycle of trying to fight what little sanity he has left.
