During the day, Lawrence servs people as a waiter in a noble restaurant called The Golden Rose; during the night, he is better known as the Gentleman Thief "Jackdaw".
Althrough he was born in a rich family, Jackdaw is no longer in contact with his parents. He moved out as soon as he was able to.
His parents were strict, punishing, unforgiving and Jackdaw shares little to no happy memories with them.
The way he was raised made him turn into a serious, reserved and stoic person that doesn't show intense feels too often. He's polite and once he gets comforable around others, he shows a mild-mannered nature.
Jackdaw is great at housework and other chores. He likes to help others and actually enjoys his job as a waiter. However, the main reason why he works in the noble restaurant is to gather information.
He is an excellent piano player. On special occasions, he plays the piano in The Golden Rose to entertain the guests.
When he first met Nightingale, he was very cold towards him. Cold and wary. Because the young man seemed to know about his secret. Fearing that the police would show up one day and take him away. But the police did not show up, instead, Nightingale became a returning guest. Althrough they were rivals as thieves, Jackdaw grew fond of him, became attached and in the end, the became lovers.

- Often gets jealous when Nightingale flirts with others. Even when he knows why he does it and knows he doesn't have to fear anything
- Has to dye his hair regulary, because he has a white streak in it otherwise
- The vision on his right eye is worse than on his left eye, hence why he wears the monocle
