Daisuke Inazuma

Personality

  Relatively easy going with a love for a challenge. When roused to have a spar, he gets pretty rowdy and becomes a bit of a show off, but after years of trying to find someone who gives him the thrill of a good battle, so far he's been left unimpressed and lacking the drive to fight new challengers. Values his own independence greatly and a bit of a wanderer, though he's unsure of what exactly he's looking for himself. He often likes to tease and, while seemingly outgoing, he's actually pretty to himself and rather distrustful of people who might want to use him; he's always on his toes about that.

Backstory

  Born to a samurai family of electric types, Daisuke used to be a Luxray before encountering the araburagami (raging god) form of Raikou, who began terrorizing a local village due to an act committed to its sacred land. In an attempt to help the villagers escape from the god's wrath, Daisuke was put in the range of the god's rage and was cursed as a result. Since then, the spirit "possesses" Daisuke's body-- he gains incredible strength and his species was changed to that of Raikou as a result. However, with the raging spirit's strength comes the price of Daisuke's life slowly deteriorating due to the curse. Shunned by the rest of his family, as well as distancing himself out of fear of people trying to use him for the newfound abilities the curse bestows him with, Daisuke became a wandering samurai.

Krig Universe

 A former wandering swordsman, Daisuke has witnessed and participated in many battles, eventually gaining the attention of the monarchy of Johto. He began serving as one of the monarch's retainers/guards, but has since become bored and restless with this new lifestyle. He longs for the chance to meet new opponents that can match his skill and remind him of the thrill of battle he once knew.

Pokemon Gekokujo AU

 In this AU, Daisuke is the kami retainer of Ho-Oh, the sun goddess of Genzai. He pledged eternal loyalty to the goddess and, due to her sudden disappearance, vowed along with her other retainers (Suicune and Entei), to lay dormant in an eternal slumber until the day Lugia, the sea god, should try to make an advance on the mainland. Due to recent events in Lugia's reawakening, Daisuke (in the form of Raikou) has awakened as well. Daisuke/Raikou is the patron kami of the province of Raijuu.
