Michiru Tsukiyomi

Personality 

As a clefable, Michiru was quite jovial yet timid, and was a bit of a pushover when it came to most political affairs. He has a lack of confidence in himself, but he tries his very best to do what's best for the people of his province, despite criticism from other provinces over his more passive and peace-keeping stance. He was rather cooperative and soft hearted, but could be depended on to pull through when things came down to the wire. Michiru grew rather thick skinned over the years as he had to deal with a lot of problems with some of the things people said about him, opting to not let it get in the way of his work.

However, since coming back to life his attitude has considerably become more sullen. He lacks full memory of his past, and instead tries to wrestle with a lot of the feelings that arise when he's roused with something he /should/ be familiar with. He doesn't speak much, but he's still polite and willing to talk, but always seems preoccupied in thought. Lately, however, he's become more suspicious and wary about some of the people within the political sphere, particularly the emperor...

Background

 Michiru came from humble beginnings as a son to a farmer, tied to an enfiefment with a local samurai, Otokichi Usuda (Nidoking). Growing up, Michiru had to deal with being tormented by bullies, as well as verbal abuse by his own father. It was around this time that he met Otokichi, who took him under his wing as a pseudo-father figure, and educated him in swordplay and writing, after seeing him getting beat up by the other villager boys. Since then, through Otokichi's recommendation, Michiru was able to enter the daimyo's army, first as a retainer to a lower-ranking samurai from the Tsukiyomi clan (he eventually was given that clan's surname since farmers didn't have surnames), and later became one of the retainers of the daimyo of Getsuei, replacing Otokichi when he decided to retire. He served for several years as retainer to the former daimyo and eventually became their replacement.

 Twenty five years after the war, Michiru was murdered during a Tsukimi celebration at the hands of Kosuke to serve as a symbol of his return. However, five months later, Michiru returned as a Gengar, but devoid of most of his memories. He still serves as a daimyo, relying more on a council now that he's still recovering, and mostly stays cooped up within his palace until he can acclimate himself to living in Genzai again.
