About

Eugène is a student who aspires to become an stage actor and playwright. The son of Annie and Moïse, Eugène grew up with emotionally distant parents and feeling like he was an outsider to most of the world, thanks to being autistic but being unaware of it for most of his life.

An incredibly sensitive but kind young man growing up, Eugène grew anxious and depressed as he got older due to developing imposter syndrome and maladaptive coping mechanisms, as a result of constantly masking and not learning how to assert his own needs and wants directly, under most circumstances. This all came to a head when he discovered an Umweltian opal and was transported inside of it, which forced him to confront his own troubled psyche head on and lead to him accepting his neurodivergence.

While still himself figuring out and developing better mental habits, Eugène has developed a strong sense of astuteness and creativity and is now on the road to achieve his dream of engaging in the performing arts, however he can. His special interests include collecting music boxes and masks, theatre, puppertry, poetry, and baking.

"Every person is a gemstone, containing many facets, and an actor, wearing many masks. No facet can stand, without the other two dimensions supporting it. No mask comes alive, without someone behind it."
