Trait || Positive || Motherly
Whether Rowen being motherly can be attributed to the fact he’s spent years as a florist caring for plants, a bird like nesting instinct, or perhaps just something that came from being the eldest of 6 and caring for his younger siblings as they grew under his wings (lol), Rowen has a habit to fuss at others, especially if he has a close relationship with you. He gets a satisfaction in knowing people e cares for are warm, safe, and fed.

It wouldn’t be a far stretch to say that Rowen can speak plant better then he can talk to people. He understands the needs plants with an ease you could get only with a mix of years of built knowledge, and a natural talent of being born to garden. Plants under his care seem to thrive, and sparkle in a way you can’t find anywhere else.

Due to Rowlet’s natural internal clocks being nocturnal; the major downside, at least to Rowen, to being a florist is the god awful early times he forces himself to tend to his plants and operates his shop. Because of this you’ll sometimes catch him during the day sleeping standing up, slumped over the counter, or resting in particularly sunny spaces he couldn’t help but power up at.

You’ll never get Rowen to shut up if you ask him about his shop, gardening, or family. Whether it’s something as broad as the shops history, technical like the shops irrigation system, or trivial like is youngest sibling’s favorite foods. You can trust that Rowen will talk your ear off in matters he takes great pride in.

Because he’s never truly well rested, Rowen has become a bit of an old grump due to constant fatigue. He’s often irritable, and cranky. Causing him to snap easily at others, or get annoyed by the smallest of things. A nice nap, a cup of caffeinated tea, or a bit of bright sun will placate him. If you ask his family though they’ll just say Rowen’s always just been a little grumpy naturally.

Ask Rowen anything that isn’t about plants and chances are he’ll be stumped. He’s never been any good at math, science or politics, it just never clicked to him. You think he would at least make it up with a good grasp of common sense. Unfortunately he has the bar minimum grasp of it and often finds himself at wits end.

HISTORY
Rowen’s parents always dreamed of a giant flock of children, when they had Rowen they couldn’t be happier. It was apparent though that as he grew older, Rowen wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. Wanting the best for his future, they staved off having any more children to focus on Rowen. They got him the brightest tutors, and moving to a new town so he could attend the best school. Rowen studied night and day to catch up but nothing every truly stuck to him, never least he persisted and got adequate scores, that weren’t all that impressive. It wasn’t until later when he found his true love of gardening that he opened up to his parents of dropping school and going into a florist apprenticeship instead.
Rowen never really forgave himself for throwing his parents sacrifices into the wind to become a florist. Although he knows he would never flourish at anything else, as he lacked the brains to be anything scholarly. He tries to make it up by working tirelessly to support his parents and multiple little siblings.
