Tl;dr flirty little incubus boy ready to party and read your fortune
under the bright moon of the third moon Chun Lin had summoned a holy spirit of love. The spirit was obedient and under his control as the journal had promised, and all went smoothly until they encountered a group of violent protesters. Chun Lin had ordered the spirit to slay the protesters, and they were but in return the spirit was corrupted. Killing was against the patron saint pure nature and had stained the spirit with blood. It corrupted the spirit turning him into a demon, and so was born a incubus as red as its rage and black as the abyss of its heart. The wild demon murdered the travelling merchants and their guardsman, but was unable to kill Chun Lin for the spirit was still bond to the humans soul and therefore unable to slay him without killing himself. Chun Lin, in fear fled back to town.
At first others called Chun Lin a insane coward for running away, spouting nonsense of demons. They suspected he had killed them for one and was held in prison until evidence could be collected. But as officers began disappearing when sent to collect said evidence their suspicions grew into worry, then into fear, then into anger. They were on the verge of executing Chun Lin when a bloodied officer came riding back, his fearful babbles confirmed what they had once thought myth, a silver demon haunted their trade route.
Worry grew about the future prosperity of their village. Their main trade route was now barren as no one dared to travel through it in fear of death. It was the guilt ridden Chun Lin who stepped up to aid their cause, he set off on horseback once again to find a rumored monk who lived in the mountains that knew how to get rid of demons.
Countless days and nights passed until Chun Lin found the monk on his hill. Unknown to him the man was actually a Watcher of The Chancel, a Qilin by the name of Huan Wei. Originally Huan Wei was going to report the new demon but seeing the deep sorrow and regret in Chun Lin eyes he forgoed the thought in favor in aiding the human in redemption.
Huan Wei joined Chun Lin in his journey of redemption, aiding the human in training, in strengthening his righteousness, and resolve along with his skill and strength so that the incubus could not taint his mind with its wickedness. Once Huan Wei determined Chun Lin of worthy strength to defeat the incubus they travelled together to defeat the demon.
It was a bloody battle they fought, yet the demon seemed immortal, Huan Wei, though he significantly stronger then the human, found himself on the verge of death. Chun Lin, who was only fatigued but not harmed, due to the bond of him and the demon, noticed this. In a act of self sacrifice he offered his soul and body, and therefore the it’s freedom, to the demon in exchange of Huan Wei life.
The demon had eagerly agreed to the deal and spared Huan Wei dying form. The incubus began to devour Chun Lin soul, but what he thought his first meal of freedom turned into a overwhelming light. Chun Lin training had turned him into a righteous man, unable to be devoured by a demon. Yet the incubus powers were still powerful, so their essence battled in a blinding light until all in a clap of light it went silent again. In the blood of their bodies and remainments of their clothing Huan Wei found a newly born incubus with hair of silver.
It was with secrecy and a careful eye in which Huan Wei raised the newly born soul. He had named him Ying Ning, a name meaning cleverness, peace, and beauty, in fond memory of Chun Lin. It wasn’t until Ying Ning came of age that he made the existence of the Incubus known

- Mind Alteration- A somewhat developed ability throughout the years, it was rumored those of his kind had the ability so after some studying he was able to gain it for himself. It is only effective on those lower in ability of him, and if their focus is not interrupted
-Energy Absorption- A natural born ability of an incubus, Ying Ning has the ability to drain the life energy of a single chosen target. This does not result in instant death. A process which would result in death would take several hours, but a strong hit of this ability will slow down the target. This is only initiated with skin to skin contact.
- Appearance Shift- Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder, or so the saying goes. Ying Ning has the ability to shift his appearance at will, though the original use of the Incubi was to be pleasing to the targets eyes, he has used it as a disguise tool. The shift is limited to humanoid appearances only.

Personality:
-Ying Ning is by all appearances a warm being. He is accepting of all kinds despite their gender, species, or age, and treats even the newest of acquaintances with an affectionate deposition. This is not shown through physical touch, but instead he has a habit of giving others endearing titles such as ‘dear’, or ‘sweet one’
-Ying carries himself with a sense of control, always keeping his emotions and tone in check underneath the warm surface. His words and actions are always done carefully and thoughtfully. It is rare to catch him showing any unpleasant mood.
-Ying Ning is a free spirit. He is deeply uncomfortable with the thought of limiting his freedom. You’ll find the ties of commitment he keeps are few and far in between.
-He doesn’t have a sense of self preservation or dignity and is often reckless in dangerous situations. Ying sees the lives of other far more precious than his own so he is quick to self sacrifice in the name of their safety.
