Sorrel

Please note that while her identity is a major part of her thoughts and feelings its not the only part of her character. The character herself is obsessed with it at current, so it is a major influence to near all her actions, thus the massive chunk in personality.

Sorrel is a bold Shinx, adventurous and ready to learn and explore. She is a bit headstrong, finding herself charging into trouble more often then she would like to admit, but to her it gets things done. More often then not she lets her instincts guide her and will follow her gut feeling in times of stress as she has a bad habit of overthinking things. Her people skills are not great and she can get pretty feisty and passive aggressive, but she doesn't mean bad by it. Sorrel is not good at handling being bossed around she will not back downand is not afraid to speak her mind even to someone much larger then herself.
She is an odd mix of someone who likes to sit back and enjoy the little things and one who has difficulty being patient. As such, there are times she is really quiet and others where she will take matters into her on hands (physically or verbally). Some would call her a chatterbox and others a shadow, which boils down to being an introvert. Truly, its a matter of her current company for how she will act.
She tries to live by the rule "treat others as you wish to be treated" but has a horrible habit of jumping to conclusions. Its difficult for her to believe that others could be nice without an ulterior motive, but usually she keeps her suspicion to herself and feigns complete trust and friendship for her own benefit.

However, she is also a troubled youth. She is small and short, bringing on a small Napoleon Complex. Just to show that she can, even if she cant, Sorrel will take on Pokemon/tasks too big for her, and fail miserably. Afterward, she is a rather poor loser and has a bad problem with holding grudges when upset or wronged. Usually she is too stubborn for her on good and ends up regretting things and taking it too personally. Despite her own short comings she is really proud, especially of any achievements she may make.

For as long as she can remember she hasn't been happy with who she is. Often it feels like everybody is out to attack her identity, though its really all in her head. Only recently has she been introduced to the world of gender identities that aren't just black and white. As such, she is a little obsessed and the discovery of self has taken over a lot of her thoughts. Some would even say she thinks solely of herself now, too caught up in it all to really pay attention to whats going on around her or the bigger picture.
Sorrel really wants to find another Pokemon with the same thought pattern as she is desperate for verification. However, other then the Breloom, she has not found anyone to talk to about it and it has built up in her head in nasty ways. Currently searching for herself and its taking her to weird places in the real world and her mind.
Considers her own identity in a state of utter crisis but she refuses to admit it to others, how painful it is, and show how far inside her own head she really is. Might snap at being labeled in any way and finds it to be a direct attack against her being. She is really suspicious of others, finding it hard to trust, but can not tell if its paranoia or not.

Doesn't consider the universe kind or her friend. Really, she just wants to feel normal, as she is in a lot of pain and malaise, but it seems everything is against her. Her shininess, ability, and movepool are some primary examples. Even hunting is hard for her, a natural predator. She is a gifted tracker and stalker but finds it horridly hard to make the kill. With all these factors merely existing this way is pain. Yet all she wants is to find a way to accept herself, not change herself. Through it all she still believes there is hope.

Other Notes:

• While this isnt factual, her views have warped her view of her ability, feeling it kick in as jealousy against cisfemales for having "the easy life." This doesn't really apply to undead.
• Biological father is a Sandslash but is not aware of this. Her mother had a fling with a Sandslash but does not know he sired her offspring instead of her mate.
• Has chosen not to let herself evolve until she is happy with herself. If she wishes to accept who she is now then changing herself could be disastrous. She will evolve when she is ready.
• I know Shinx's line is based off a Lynx, but a lion pride stucture works better for her history.
