Ari Kaiga

Personality:

Level-Headed, Competitive, Spoiled, Argumentative, Tolerant

Ari has a.. twin half-sister. They were born by the same dad, but their moms are different. And as it happens, they were also born on the same day. What are the odds? Anyways, they're rarely seen without one another and you can often hear them bickering from miles away. They do love each other though, as siblings should, and they would do anything for each other. Naturally though, their bickering ends up in spats. But between you and him, he lets her win usually.

He loves video games. Anything to kick Deshi’s ass. And thankfully, he doesn’t have to be nice when it comes to these, they can play anything and he’ll win. But that might just be because she doesn’t know how to play, and he doesn’t bother telling her how, but who’s playing referee? Definitely not him, and definitely not her or anyone else.

Ari loves to cook. In fact, he likes to cook for his sister, since she's the only one around usually. His cooking isn't great, but it's good for what it's started at. He cooks ramen, eggs, and the ever so infamous grilled cheese. He's tried to cook some other things, and in his opinion, they turned out pretty well. Ask Deshi!

Growing up for Ari was a weird predicament. His dad, as we know now, had an affair with a Nekomata and thus, Deshi was born. However, it was not known at the time, and Ari's mom remained with his dad until Ari was eight. Things had been awful for the married two, and decided to go separate ways. Ari was told by his mom to go with his dad, and that she would get him every weekend. Well, that never happened. His father had remained good friends with Deshi's mother, and soon, the two were married, and Deshi's mother adopted Ari as a son. (Explained more in the history section.)

Ari is a mildly tempered person. He hates people who waste his time, however. If you're going to talk to him, have something to say. He enjoys conversation, but it's not the kind of "How's the weather?" conversations. If this stuff is said, he can get snippy, and very short with you. It's just something he doesn't enjoy. He will suffer through it if he has to, but he'd prefer not to.

As most Inugami, his appetite is bottomless. When he gets around food, he's ravenous. His favourite foods include, but aren't limited to, steak, any kind of candy (but he loves rice candy), any kind of rice dish, and he loves anything deep fried. Surprisingly enough, he never gets fat. He loves food as much as he loves video games.

When it comes to other species, he doesn’t mind them. Reapers are okay in his book, they don’t know his full name, so it’s not like they’re gonna bother him. Monsters.. well, they could be worse. And he could easily take them in a fight. Well.. some of them. Ghosts are pretty cool, and chill. Undeads are just weird looking, and freak him out a little bit, but he doesn’t mind them either. He’s pretty tolerant of every species.

As a Demon, it makes sense that he has a full name that only specific people should know. The only two at school currently that know, would be himself, and Deshi. His full name happens to be Ari Chiko Kaiga. He keeps it to himself to keep from being put into a contract and such. Plus, he hates his middle name anyways. However, this is not his demonic name. His demonic name is something that he hasn't let anyone know besides his family, and even they aren't dumb enough to say anything about his true name.

Since his father was a ink demon, it's only understandable that some of that transferred to him. That's where the nickname "Inkugami" comes from. It also makes sense that he is an artistic kind of person. He paints with the ink that he has, and in his natural form, and instead of having slobber, he drools ink. The tip of his tail also runs with the ink.

As a child, Ari's parents had lived together, and loved each other. His father, an ink demon, and his mother was an Inugami, much like himself. His mother had a friend, who later would happen to be Deshi's mother, and they did everything together. His dad however, began to fall in love with Deshi's mother. Around the time Ari was born, a daughter, Deshi, who was his mother's best friend's daughter, was born too. Ari's mother was a tad curious, but didn't say anything. She was happy for her! Eight years passed, and Ari's father and mother had slowly grown apart. They were always fighting. And then it spilled. Ari's dad told her why Deshi and Ari had been born on the same day. Ari's mother, devastated, spiraled into a deep depression. Ari's father realized what was happening, and took Ari with him. He couldn't allow Ari to live in that kind of environment, not getting the care he needed. After much coaxing, Ari finally left. His mother promised she'd get him on weekends, and take him out to do things. She never came though. He waited... and waited... and waited. And she never came. He finally decided to stop waiting. Deshi's mom adopted him as her own, and Ari could finally stop worrying about his mom. To this day, Ari still hasn't heard from her. He's not sure he even wants to though.

As the older of the two siblings, when he found that Deshi was applying, he decided he had to get in too. They’ve always had a constant sibling rivalry, and so they compete with almost anything. So he sent in his application with Deshi, only to one-up her.
