Meet Nir, the god of injustice, revenge, betrayal, and hurt. Nir often takes a human appearance and walks among humankind, his very aura causing pain and heartbreak (as inspired by his shirt on his design, hehe). He isn’t seen as a very kind deity and isn’t often worshipped, but rather cursed. Still, he does what he must. You’ll find some irony in what I say next about him.

He’s often mistaken for the deity of Love, Amros themself. He honestly couldn’t tell you why, but for whatever reason, people mix him and Amros up frequently. Some stories even portray them as twins and subsequently two parts of a cycle; one that represents love and happiness, and the other that represents heartbreak and sorrow. He would never admit to being related to Amros, as Amros is an. . . eccentric individual, shall we say. But they could certainly be related, let’s just say ;)

Anywho, he was born in a strange way. Amros was trying to romance Dritri, the goddess of water and healing, when she rejected their proposal. The heartbreak was so bad that it created a whole new deity, Nir, who would never admit to literally being made of feelings. Athys, the goddess of cycles, gave him more of a purpose by enlisting his help in contributing to the cycle of happiness and sorrow that all humans must stay within.

He prefers to do so under a human guise, but mostly because he is fascinated with humans. He longs for a relationship but doesn’t see it as possible due to his status and negative aura, so instead he people-watches and yearns from a distance. He also loves cats, and they seem to love him, too. Dogs less so, haha. His eyes also change color depending on his mood.
