Gannet is typically a straightfoward dragon who doesn't like to beat around the bush or answer with obvious sarcasm, though she isn't exactly above the latter at times, she's still got a sense of humour to maintain after all. Growing up, Gannet learned quickly how to outsmart her less than great peers and how to use her unique colouring to her advantage in the snow.

She isn't usually someone for small talk, but she still uses it to make meetings less awkward or as a distraction to avoid unwanted questions, most notable when she gets asked about other IceWings' reactions to her scales, which he gets extra snarky over. But if she could help it, she'll smoothly go around the conversation and change topics, she isn't one for confrontations and deep talks unless she knows she can trust who she speaks to.

Backstory

Since hatching, Gannet stood out amongst her kind due to her colouring. Unlike her kin, she sports unconvential warm colours rare amongst pureblood IceWings, and funnily enough, she looked exactly like her namesake as a hatchling. Despite having such unique patterning, many adults, especially from nobler classes, frowned upon her for having "unnatural" scales. This in turn, made her parents treat her differently around others. Loving and doting in their own space, but skittish and brushing her off in public. She sort of understood why when she got older, IceWing society has a harsh road, and it still had a ways to go after Queen Snowfall's reign. But nonetheless, Gannet feels some sort of resentment towards her parents.

Protecting herself from the sneers and jabs of others, she pierces their veil of eluding metaphors and shallow comments with a straightforward attitude. But even with an effective weapon, some fight back, and at times, Gannet still carries a sense of feeling out of place and alone.

Relationships

Betta

Gannet isn't a fan of Betta's energy, unable to really keep up and finding them way too loud for her liking. But she understands that Betta isn't malicious or purposely trying to get a raise out of her, their energues just don't match. But as their wingmate, Gannet still does her best to find a common ground with the SeaWing and bond with them, even if it's just with small talk.

Python

Gannet feels most comfortable with Python due to his stoic energy and presentation, which helps her ground herself when she's nervous or doubtful. She finds that he understands her best, and trusts him enough to share her insecurities with him, and listens when he gives her advice, thinking them quite wise for his age. They also find that they're able to communicate with each other with just a look and a gesture.

Seal

Gannet sees Seal as the closest dragon to a proper role model from her own tribe, with both sharing similar views and opinions of IceWing society, which is usually a topic of conversation between them. Gannet was delighted to find out that Seal didn't view her any differently just for having unnatural scales, and enjoys taking his classes.
