Ginseng is an independant, reserved, and quiet keb, who left home to pursue his studies. He is diligent, responsible, and has a strong work ethic. He mostly keeps to himself and prefers to be an observer, but he can be very nosy when his curiosity is piqued. He's level headed and doesn't easily give much away, but has a bit of a sarcastic streak that may come out around those he's warmed up to.

Ginseng is a lean, slightly muscular keb, and in anthro or human form measures roughly 5'8 (minus the ears). He has plush, slightly wavy fur which he keeps in good condition. when wearing clothes, he has a good sense of style, and favors solid-color outfits (with an occational print/pattern) with simple jewelry as an accent. he enjoys earthy tones. he isn't particularly lavish, and keeps his looks put together, but not excessive. He is mildly far sighted, and may sometimes wear reading glasses. (outfit chart tba)
trivia
He is particularly fascinated with botany and entymology, and keeps an illustrated journal where he records his findings. He is a skilled artist.- Though he learns quickly, he can never seem to get a grasp on technology! He's awful with computers and gadgets.
- He has a good sense of color and design, and has a mimalistic home. The only thing he's excessive with is how many house plants he owns -- his place is basically a greenhouse.
- He is a vegetarian, and grows most of the produce he eats. He's not a bad cook, either! But nothing fancy, just home recipes.

Backstory
Ginseng was born and raised in the Garden Meadow Hub, on a small, multi-generational farm. He lived with his parents, his younger sister, and a couple cousins and grandparents. He had a fairly normal childhood, and grew up helping around the farm. However, as he approached his teen years, he began to grow restless. His family had, for generations, lived in the same Hub, with no plans of ever doing anything else. Ginseng was starting to realize that something was missing.. he wanted more in life.
He tried to be content, as everyone else around him was, but he couldn't seem to shake the feeling. As he grew older, he picked up bits and pieces about the world beyond, and wanted to experience it for himself. In his late teens, he went on a short trip for school, and got a taste of the freedom he had so desperately craved. Upon his return, he made up his mind: he had to leave.
His family was adamant, as no one had really left the farm -- ever. But ultimately, they couldn't stop him from leaving. Ginseng tried to convince his sister to come with him, as they had a good relationship, and she was his best friend. But his sister was happy on the farm, and felt obliged to stay and help her family. So Ginseng set out alone.
Ginseng was eager to explore the world. He began travelling the globe, searching for those new experiences he so longed for, and, in a way, he was searching for himself. His life had been largely defined by being a farmer, so he's still, to this day, trying to figure it out. He's mostly settled on botany, but is still exploring.
Ginseng's relationship with his family has gotten tense since he left, but he still keeps in touch with his sister. Other than her, he doesn't have many friends, and has a hard time putting himself out there. Growing up in a small town where everyone knew eachother didn't really equip him with the skills to interact with strangers. He is trying to open up, but part of him fears others will judge him for leaving his old life behind - he still feels guilt over "abandoning" his folks back on the farm. Because of this, he's also a bit judgemental of rural kebs, but only because he's afraid of being pulled back into the life he tried so hard to escape.
miyuki is a source of guidance for ginseng, a voice he trusts. he looks up to her and is comforted by her presence. they're both reserved and quiet, so they have a pleasant relationship.
pleasant, friendly relationship. Ginseng can be a bit overambitious, whilst Icarus is very relaxed and reminds him to take a break. Icarius can have a bit of a temper, while ginseng has virtually none, so they also balance each out.
both travel around a lot, but occatioanlly they bump into one another and share stories from their travels. Wren was the one that inspired Ginseng to follow lightsong, and because of her he's considering becoming a caretaker.
their personalities contrast greatly, and sometimes koinu can really get on ginseng's nerves with her energetic personality. still, she's sweet and means well, and can give ginseng the push he needs to come out of his shell sometimes, which he genuinely appreciates. She also never fails to cheer him up with her antics.
