Agri, Goddess of the Fields

Personality: Playful, friendly, generous, evasive, lawful good.

History: She is the goddess of crops and open fields. Long ago, when the Sun God was still young, he came to graze on the green grasses Terra laid out in offering to him, and wherever he walked, the grass grew taller and more lush. One day it grew so tall that it grew a life of its own, and Terra was no longer able to tame and control it. So she cut it free, and it became Agri, the goddess of fields. Agri is a large green bird with iridescent feathers, the face of an elvish woman, and a long, plumed tail. She can sometimes be found sweeping over open fields, churning the grasses with her powerful wings and singing or playing the whistles she gets as offerings, Legend says that if you can catch her, she will bless you with magical gifts once you release her.

Typical Offerings: Spices, colored powders, paintings, bird feathers, song, and wooden whistles.

Prayers: People pray to Agri for a good harvest, or good weather. Even though she has little to do with the weather, people often thank her for peaceful days or peaceful moments. She is sometimes seen as a goddess of fertility, and so families might pray to her for good health for the baby and mother.
