| Background | She once got stranded in a tidepool as a baby, and was rescued by Amber, who found her while carrying out their daily observations of the shore. Amber was thrilled by the discovery, and was more than happy to ‘adopt’ the creature , as it was injured and scared to go back into the sea alone. They brought her to Rutile, who vaguely recalled an incident with one such creature called an ‘Admirabilis’ in the past. Referencing what was known about them in the library, the gems nursed her back to full health. Amber was advised to return her to the sea as soon as possible, since they could be dangerous to gems once they got big. However, Amber had grown quite attached, and didn’t want to part with Ignaaus yet. So, they snuck her into the dormitory and continued to care for her in secret… Amber kept their ‘roommate’ under wraps for as long as possible with Rose Quartz’s help, who was nosy and had naturally sniffed out Amber’s secret within days. Eventually though, everything did come to light, and Amber was forced to return her to where she belonged. Their only solace was the fact that they would still be able to meet in the future, since Amber frequented the shore for research purposes anyway. Amber was allowed to escort Ignaaus all the way back home as well, and was able to meet an entire family of admirabilis because of it, which helped ease their melancholy a bit. |

Relationships
- Best friends with Amber! The two meet up to chat and gossip on a regular basis.
- Acquainted with Rose Quartz, who helped hide her when she was a baby. She finds the things Rose says hilarious for some reason, and she never turns down a new gossip-buddy! Where other gems find Rose’s writing to be obscene and nonsensical, Ignaaus understands it on a level they never could. Their fan-fiction involving admirabilis is her favorite, and she frequently requests copies of their work to share with her friends. Rose wouldn’t know it, but they’ve accrued an entire fanbase under the sea! Rose has gotten in the habit of coming to her to ask about her romantic experiences for reference as well, which Ignaaus is all too happy to talk about.
