Valerian

A kind and caring soul, this canine was abandoned along the side of the road and adopted and named by an old fisherman, who often took him out to sea on his fishing boat as a pup. Listening to the old man ramble was how he figured out how to pilot the ship, able to grab ropes with his teeth and spin the wheel with his paws. When the old man died, he had no known relatives so left the ship to the blue-furred canine, which is what drew the people’s attention to him. Since they did not know his name, for the old man didn’t talk to the general public much, they’ve been calling the loyal pet “Sea Captain,” after the boat.
