As an orphan, abandoned and unwanted, this fellow was taken in my a masked assassin on the precipice of retiring. Not wanting his legacy to die out, the assassin trained the feline in his ways, as well as fed and raised him to adolescence. He soon deemed his trainee fit for action and they began to work in the field together, getting paid to stealthily murder unsuspecting targets who had wronged their clients in some way or the other. However, because his master was old and past his prime, an injury from a job-gone-wrong put him out of commission and soon, out of this world. Though the feline grieved, he continued his line of work, picking up where the old man had left off. As time went by and he reached young adulthood, he went on a mission that had him braving the waters aboard a pirate ship. Though he successfully completed his assignment and killed the captain of the ship, the crew swarmed him, so he was unable to make his escape, for he was busy attempting to fend them off. In this chaos, no one was guiding the ship, so it went haywire and all aboard were lost to the turbulent waves. Due to his training, the assassin managed to latch himself to a barrel, which he clung on to for dear life. Somewhere along the line of drifting aimlessly and fading in and out of consciousness, he vaguely remembered a massive beast beneath the waves, pushing him towards something. Then warm paws pulled him out of the water and a calming voice finally eased him into a deep sleep. When he awoke, the feline found himself aboard "Sea Captain," and he's stuck with Valerian and his motley crew ever since.
