Maxine is as cool and collected as the water she can manipulate.
Power Description
Maxine can collect moisture from the air to create pools of water, as well as manipulate any body of water. Using this water, she can shoot it as an attack. She can summon rain storms as well, which sometimes come around just because she's upset.
Disadvantages:
Particularly dry air is much harder to pull water from, and she'll have less to work with than in more humid environments.
Biography
Her mother, who worked as an R.S.H. field agent as well, died when Maxine was 8 years old. Unfortunately, Maxine was there to see the tragedy happen. It changed her, leaving her with an intense fear of being alone at night, especially in the dark.
She shied away from her powers for many years since it reminded her of her mother, and felt lost trying to use it without her guidance. She didn't want to work for the R.S.H., given the history she had with them and her lack of experience with superpowers, but with no other options to support her family, eventually yielded and applied.
Physical Description
On the tall and thin side, Maxine's casual wear consists of a blue dress which reaches her knees, along with matching flats. She often has her hair up in a high ponytail.
Her vivid purple eyes have tear drop-shaped pupils.
Personality
Quiet by nature, Maxine speaks in her head more often than out loud. A highly focused individual - which sometimes causes tunnel vision in her life - she usually spends longer than she anticipated working on her invention projects. Although not inclined to show it, she feels strongly of those close to her.
She's very curious about the way things work, and deeply passionate about her interests. Besides inventing, she loves robotics, programming, computer science... and she could go on and on. Though, her combined quiet and niche hobbies have earned her the title of "weird girl" in some circles. With the right company, she may just eagerly open up and gush about interesting technology facts.
Despite not particularly wanting to be a superhero, she takes her job very seriously. She utilizes strategy and carefully weighs all options in a situation before acting.
Maxine has started to grow less afraid of taking charge when she finds it necessary, and others are most often accepting of her level-headed, logical leadership. Friends see her as dependable and reasonable.

Friends
Brendon - Her boyfriend, the two got close while working as partners at the R.S.H., and eventually started dating. They share a deep connection, and depend on each other for support. With each other, they really do feel like they can be themselves, unequivocally.
Markus - After getting to know him through his friendship with Brendon, and assisting on missions, she considers Markus a good friend. He's always willing to hear her out if she needs someone to talk to, especially when Brendon is away on fieldwork.
Varian - Her cousin, who she met only after he moved from France to work at the same R.S.H. base. Being from her mother's side, she felt she knew little about him and his culture, and wasn't sure how to connect with him at first. But after Vicky attempted to widen the gap between them, Maxine dedicated herself to showing him she truly did want to be friends.
Milton - With enough experience, every hero has the chance to become a mentor eventually; Milton is Maxine's assigned mentee. She found him somewhat inflexible at first, but over time he started to loosen up. She tries not to think about Milton's poor stance towards Brendon, but won't allow Milton to speak ill of him for unfounded reasons. Still, they consider each other friends, if barely.
Yume - An ex-boyfriend, who she left after having enough of his shallow interest in her. He never listened to her, and was only ever into her appearance. Maxine tries to avoid him now, especially since he insists they're still dating.
Ham - Her younger brother, who she usually calls by his real name, Maxwell. She had to be more of a mother than a sister to him growing up, and frankly she's relieved he can care for himself now. She loves him of course, but it's a little easier for him to get on her nerves than most others.
Trivia
• Spends much of her free time working on her invention projects. So much so, she's liable to stay in her room for entire days at a time.
• Often disassembled household objects as a child, but couldn't always put them back together...
• Owns a few plushies, her favorite being a seahorse she's had since she was a child. She often sleeps with it in her arms.
• Likes playing video games and easily gets absorbed into them. Pokémon, StarCraft, Smash Bros., to name a few she plays.
