Aita had just been promoted to a Yiga footsoldier when he faced against the hero and lost. To his shock, the hero dressed his wounds and cooked him a meal. Since that day Aita became unsettled with the expectations he had been given by the clan, like every footsoldier, to kill the hero. As they kept interacting, the hero only grew more friendly towards Aita and considered them friends, and Aita agreed to a "truce" where he would no longer attack the hero until they both agreed to fight. Before he knew what was happening, he saved Link in front of the rest of the clan and officially became a traitor. Then he became a Sheikah and then he kisses Link. :)
