Technically a pureblood changeling, she is still the oddity of her colony. Her mother was afflicted by a permanent drain of magic which no one could reverse. Her lack of magic prevented her from transforming to the appearance of a "reformed changeling," even though she let love into her life. The affliction seeped down as far as her genetic code, which became apparent when she had her first and only child, Calypter. Calypter inherited some of the traits of her reformed father, yet her legs were still pockmarked and brittle from birth. She was even born with a glossy, furry mane unlike the fins of either parent, though it did retain an odd iridescent sheen. Since both of her parents were purebloods, it was assumed it had something to do with her mother's lack of magic. As she grew, her own affinity for magic seemed limited. She had weak wings and trouble flying, and suffered many health issues, most of which due to her weak immune system. Her mother died when she was still a larvae from the same health issues. Her father loves her dearly, and is possibly a bit too strict on keeping her sheltered, medicated and safe.
