Uma comes form a low noble family who has served the royal family for ages in all possibly ways. Uma was raised to show the same amounf of loyalty to the Luuvions and her duties to them as it was custom for her family. She never tried to rebel, convinced throughroughly that this is how things are meant to be. She did not agree to Ciela's disregard for her prositions as princess, ut as an attendant, she remained loyal to her lady, despite of her personal belief. She is very glad to see that the princess grew out of that silly phase.
