Yíng / Firefly

most current sona. general sona, but also designed to be more of a depression / vent-like sona for the most part. the type of blorbo that only gets tortured for no reason but i also really loev them so plzease be kind to them and giev them pats on the head

Yíng / 螢 (Firefly). may also be called Ying-ying as a nickname of endearment.

chinese-viet american, understands bits of spoken cantonese but only speaks and understand english in a fluent manner. does not understand other forms of chinese or vietnamese, though.

if shapeshifting usually changes arms + legs and maybe some stuff on the head mostly, stays humanoid most times if its not the mini form

they/xe/ze or any other nonbinary pronoun set preferred, but feel free to use other pronouns for them. i might call them he/she too LOL 

has dark spots on their face from bad skin genetics and acne scars

eyes are almost always solid color / darkest lineart color, they have no light for the most part. can have a pupil but always no light. mouth is also usually solid / black

really love chains, apple, snake, dove, or lotus motifs for them. brownie points for eggs / eggshells of some sort

give them any outfit i dont really care tbh but mostly cozy / pathetic ahh type clothing with no fashion sense

not emotionless, actually very emotional and self-aware. they just come off as such due to their appearance

really fucking bad at explaining things and often gets misunderstood. english is hard man. they also tend to miss cues a lot so they come off as aloof

lives in a void with a tree in the middle that grows fruits called the 'phyx'. the phyxes are both a rendition of their own negative emotions while also providing said emotions when eaten. the phyxes resemble apples but with a dark purple color scheme. their sprout / apple stem is a motif similar to the phyx.

the tendrils sometimes have a mind of their own depending on how much ying can control them at that moment. they can speak if ying is unable to suppress the tendrils. touching any of yings' tendrils can have adverse effects depending on ying's suppression, ranging from a small tinge of sadness to a full-fledged biden blast™ of temporary depression. this is also affected by how much they think their own emotions will affect the other person, such effects becoming reduced if they can finally find themselves comfortable with the person. depending on this, it can even be entirely nullified.
