He never had any relationship with his father, due to constantly being occupied with his work, or so his mother would tell him.

As a kid, he barely understood why there had been so much fighting and never understood on why, aside from him not spending time with his family, according to his mother.

Several years later, after his parents divorce, Ramon was 8 at the time and his sister Ellie 4, he found out from overhearing his mother talking to one of her friends that his father cheated on her with someone and was making suspicious transactions, usually taking many large withdrawals from his bank account. He was spending them for pointless reasons, mostly likely spent for that person he was having a affair with behind her back instead of helping his family.

His father's financial issues were easily found out after he made a overdraft in his account due to the bank he was with at the time, sending a letter to tell what transactions he made, that he tried to hide.

Three years later when Ramon was 11, his mother started dating other men until she met someone who she carelessly got pregnant with. The boyfriend found this as a perfect opportunity to leave his mother's basement and live with her, although when he realized she already had kids, he started to dislike them, especially Ramon.

He was loaded with money and at first he was nice around his mother. But when she was gone he was neglectful to her children and didn't give a care about them. Ramon didn't overthink and believed that this was a normal thing to happen as he was taking care of her well and could provide them what they needed, even though his sister Ellie wasn't buying it.

Only until when Karly was born things went downhill as when his mother relied on her boyfriend to occasionally take care of her children, especially Karly, he would place all the responsibility on Ramon while making remarks that he was in charge and Ramon had to take care of Karly as well as do all the housework. While the only thing her boyfriend did was most of the time, while his mother was out, would be playing on his laptop, saying that it's his "online job" despite the fact that he was slacking off.

Ellie was ready to tell their mother but he'd convince her to not speak up since their mother was highly stressed from her job that year. He wanted all of them to live more comfortably financial wise.

One day when the boyfriend overslept, Ramon decided to get the letters and newspaper advertisements himself. What he happened to find was the letter with the boyfriend's name on it. It was about a few bank statements showing one of the many accounts he had with a bank and how far in debt he was. That convinced him enough about confronting his mother about the whole situation but his sister told him to sneak the letter in her purse.
His mother acknowledged Ramon's presence at work, which gave her a relief that he'll look after her personal things, making it easier for Ramon to slide the letter in.

Things escalated when the boyfriend realized the letter he was expecting was missing and pinned the suspicion on Ramon first. He wanted to deal with his sister later so he forced and locked her into her room. As he knew that their mother is usually busy, that encouraged his aggressive behavior to force the answer out of him and to threaten both kids into silence.

Luckily his mother happen to find the letter during work and delayed the work to confront him. The noises and shouting concerned her and rushed to the apartment.
The sight of it made her livid when she witnessed Ramon pinned against the wall, unable to even reach the ground.

The boyfriend immediately let him go, trying to defend the situation, including accussing her children, especially Ramon, of irresponsibility and that Ramon is mental.
His mother had none of it and sent Ramon to his room. After he did, she completely chewed her boyfriend out for the incident and the cover ups about his debt.

Ramon's curiosity and concern for her mother, he decided to take a peek.
His mother was throwing his belongings out of the window, including his laptop. Her boyfriend was furious at her actions and attempted to hit her, but his mother dodged and decked him.
After the hit and him starting to bleed from his nose, he decided to back away.

While her now-ex-boyfriend could've sued her at any time for any reason, it never happened.
And ever since, Ramon wanted to be as strong as his mother.

He was in a happy relationship with a girl named Tily Jason until he heard false rumors about her. To his naivety he believed them and called her out on it without giving her a chance to speak up and dumped her, humiliating her infront of students at the school hallway. After knowing the truth, he desperately tired to make it up to her. After taking a hint she wants to do nothing with him, he kept his distance from her.

Not long after another student took an interest in his relationship but she was emotionally manipulative. Because of his past mistake he tried to be more considerate and took her every word for granted.
He broke up with her due to realizing her toxic behaviour and lies.

Both of those relationships happened when he was 14.

Final past romantic yet his first sexual relationship was at the age of 18. Everything about this relationship lacked trust and was distant outside sex.
He remained due to his ex persuading him into staying with temporare 'good' relationship and gifts.

Ramon caught him cheating with someone else far later but didn't confront him at the exact event, refusing to open his ex's bedroom door after clearly hearing his voice and his along with unknown female clothes laying around the hallway before he reached to the door.

The breakup happened after the confrontation at the park, when his ex blamed him for being a 'terrible boyfriend' while still trying to guilt him into staying.
Ramon's last straw was his attempt to physically harm him as the last resort.

Ramon met Rory at his own friend's lame (according to him) party, away from the crowd.
They clicked when they shared the same opinion, and was entertained by Rory's sarcasm.
They exchained their phone numbers and ever since hung out.

Rory's romantic interest towards Ramon were obvious, however he did not expect that Rory's shame about his sexuality held him back, even least that Rory would attempt to belittle Ramon for the same reason.

Far later they got into relationship when Rory overcame the conflict about himself.

Ramon and Rory had the same ex that abused them at the same timeline. It turned out that Rory was the one his ex was cheating with and that influenced his dilemma.

Ramon had given Rory a guitar with "I love you~ From: your biggest dork, Ramon" carved on it as their 1-year Anniversary, after Rory got his first one destroyed at the concert.
