Jae is a night owl - she spends her nights researching unsolved mysteries, listening to meloncholic music, and drinking copious amounts of sugary soda. Her poor lifestyle choices have a direct impact on her mental health - she's tired and depressed most of the time. She knows altering her sleep habits and diet would probably improve her overall state of mind, but cold pizza at 2 AM is a tough thing to give up.

Her mood swings can be intense and unpredictable, so Jae tries to avoid burdening others with them. Instead, she writes in her journal. Only her most trusted friends are granted access to the contents within.
