Personality
Amaya is withdrawn and generally prefers to stick to herself. She is very loud when she is being vocal, and she is very unreliable, often jumping into situations without thinking.
She always tries to perserve when the odds are against her, even though she's kind of died a few times.
She is very self-conscious of her appearance, and perfers to hide it under a cloak at all times.
She has a strong distrust of cursed beings.

Background
She doesn't like to talk about her past, under a spoiler tag to protect from people in the campaign.
Amaya grew up in a small mountainside town, that bordered on lush thick jungle and tall, jagged mountains.
Her childhood involved her quickly becoming a main breadwinner - her father fell ill and was unable to work by the time she was age 10, and her siblings are younger than her, so she had to support her mother's work as a blacksmith for the town. She quickly became a stunning assistant, as well as doing errands around the town. Amaya even went as far as to steal here and there (with some lies...) to support her family.
At age 16 she really showed how much of an idiot she is. She heard rumors of a dragon having a massive hoard a few towns over, and looking for treasure to improve her family's life, she headed out without telling them.
She found the hoard, and the mass amounts of treasure! However, bad luck struck and the ancient green dragon caught her as she was about to escape with the treasure. The dragon punished her with a curse - to be part dragon, part human! Yikes. Amaya, horrified, admitted defeat and was lucky to escape alive. On her journey back home, she terrified an adventurer, who then attacked her, and she accidentally spat acid on them, and her hand, killing the adventurer and scarring her hand severely.
Amaya, barely recognizable, tried to go back home but her entire family screamed demon and refused to believe her, and she was forced into exile. Since then, she has struggled to find her purpose and has felt generally pretty confused, upset, and vengenceful.
Current Adventure
Amaya has found herself in the country of Barovia accidentally, after trying to look for werewolves. She has found herself wrapped up in a quest and adventure she did not ask for, being ‘forced’ into a party. She has been mortally injured several times and meet a mysterious god of death (although she is sure these were just fever dreams after banging her head too hard). This god has asked her to help get rid of someone but she doesn’t take note of it currently.
She has met and now is adventuring with Saphira, Flint, Bärd and Lecuis.
Her thoughts are mixed on the people she has found herself stuck with, and unfornately for her they know of her appearance, but not the cause of it, which she refused to answer. She admires Bärd as he appears head strong and helped her out more than once, and his indifference to her appearance. Saphira she is unsure of, and finds her overwhelmingly caring for someone she barely knows. Lecuis she is similarly unsure of, however admires his magical abilities at getting them out of trouble, but does not appreciate his questions and cursiousity on her. Flint she finds interesting as she has never met a Tabaxi, and is curious about him.
